Got a group coming to Donegal?
You could spend the day doing the usual things.
Or you could put everyone on surfboards and see how that goes.
Group surf lessons are a good option if you're travelling with friends, family or a group of children and want to do something together.
Nobody has to know how to surf before arriving.
In fact, watching everyone figure it out together is half the fun.
Friends, families and holiday groups
The first few attempts can be entertaining.
Someone will probably stand up surprisingly quickly.
Someone else will paddle in completely the wrong direction.
Then they'll swap places.
That's surfing.
A group lesson gives everyone the chance to learn the same basics and have a bit of fun while doing it.

Group kids' surf lessons
If you're organising an activity for a group of children or teenagers, surfing is a good excuse to get everyone outdoors.
Students from age 4 upwards can take part as long as they're confident in the water.
It can be a family group, friends on holiday or another group looking for something different to do in Donegal.
And nobody has to sit on the sidelines.
Planning a stag do?
A stag do surf lesson is certainly a little different.
Get everyone into wetsuits, head for the beach and find out who can actually stand on a board.
There'll probably be some competitive nonsense.
That's alright.
The important thing is that everyone gets involved.
It also means the group gets a few hours outside rather than spending the entire weekend indoors.
Coming from around Donegal or Derry?
Groups travel to Inishowen from different parts of Donegal and the surrounding North West.
If you're staying around Inishowen, coming from Malin Head or travelling across from Derry, a surf lesson can be fitted into a day exploring the coast.
The Fanad Peninsula and other parts of Donegal are also within reach for visitors planning their trip around the area.
What do you need?
Not much.
You don't need previous surfing experience, and the equipment required for the lesson is provided.
Come ready for the water.
Listen to the instructor.
Have a go.
The rest tends to take care of itself.
